Day 6
Praying for the protection of our children.
Today we pray that our children will know Him. Seek His face and dwell in His presence all the days of their lives. Father, as mothers we thank You that we can trust in, lean on and rely upon You. We thank You that our children are not our sole responsibility, but that You are in control. Today, we pray Ps 27 over our children as we bring them under Your protection and guidance.
In the Name of Yeshua we declare that then Lord is their Light and their Salvation– whom shall they fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of their lives – of whom shall they be afraid? When the wicked, even their enemies and foes, came upon them to eat up their flesh, they (the enemy) stumbled and fell. Though a host encamp against them, their hearts shall not fear; though war arise against them, even then in this will they be confident.
One thing we ask of the Lord, this we seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that our children may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of their lives, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
In the Name of Yeshua we declare that in the day of trouble He will hide them in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide them; He will set them high upon a rock. And their heads shall be lifted up above their enemies round about them; in His tent they will offer sacrifices and shout of joy; they will sing, yes, they will sing praises to the Lord.
Hear, O Lord, when we as mothers cry aloud; have mercy and be gracious to us and answer us! You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. On behalf of our children we decree: Our hearts say to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will we seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word]. Hide not Your face from our children; turn not Your servants away in anger, You Who have been their help! Cast them not off, neither forsake them; O God of their salvation!
Although we as their fathers and mothers may have forsaken them, yet You Lord, will take them up adopt them as Your children.
Teach them Your way, O Lord, and lead them in a plain and even path because of their enemies those who lie in wait for them. Give them not up to the will of their adversaries.
What, what would have become of them had we not believed that we would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!
So today I would like to write this upon Your spirit heart:
My child, wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.” Psalm 27:1-14 AMPC
