Day 22
Placing the management of my Child’s life in God’s hands
Father, today as a mom, my prayer is simply this. Would You please take over the management of my child’s life! Your Word says children are a blessing of the Lord – meaning they are Yours, only given to us to share in our lives, to enrich us and to teach us. To get to know You better.
Father, there are all these little things that we as moms worry about. Things that make us cry and things that clamp down on our hearts with worry and concern. Father, so often these things that are amiss become ALL that we focus on. Father, forgive us as moms, where we lose perspective. Forgive us where we compare our children and see them lacking. Forgive us for focussing on all they are doing wrong. Forgive us for trying to ‘fix’ them and mould them into what we and the world think they should be.
Today, like Abraham, we bring our Isaacs to You! The first Isaac is our identity which we somehow find in our kids. Father, forgive us our legitimacy issues which we try to fix through our children’s lives and the second chances they somehow give.
The second Isaac is our past pain – the things that have happened to us as children that now influence how we raise our children. We surrender our unmet needs our unresolved issues and unhurt pain to You. Heal us God!
The third Isaac is our doubt and unbelief. Father, today, I place all my worries on the altar of Your Word. I choose to trust You as my source of strength to guide me. Give me Kingdom perspective, I pray.
Father, my fourth Isaac, is my ability to be a mom. Father, forgive me for comparing myself to others. Forgive me for believing that I always have to know what to do. Today I place ‘being a mom’ on Your altar so that Your flames of truth will burn away every lie and preconceived idea.
Father, teach me to mother! Give me hope in this journey. Walk with me my King, I pray. Walk with me!
Lord, give me the Wisdom to change what needs to be changed. Give me the understanding of Your design of my child. Father, please help me not to stand in the way of Your design and purpose for my child.
Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail). [I Pet. 5:7.] Psalm 55:22 AMPC
I pray this in the name of Yeshua, Amen.
