Day 20
Today we pray that our children would be radically obedient.
But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you. Jer 7:23
Father, in the name of Yeshua, we come before Your throne on behalf of our kids. Your Word states in Job 1 that he (Job) diligently offered sacrifices on behalf of his children in the event that they may have sinned. Father, please forgive us, and those we represent in the spirit’s, trespasses, sins and transgressions. We repent in the name of Yeshua for not honouring our parents. We repent of the rebellious spirit in us that made us ignore good and sound advice.
Father we want our children to be well and that they would know a long and satisfying life. Your Word says in Eph 6 that for this to be possible children should OBEY their parents in the Lord [as His representatives], for this is just and right.
Father, in the name of Yeshua we bless our children with ears open and willing to hear and with hearts willing to obey.
You further state that they should honour esteem and value as precious their father and mother–this is the first commandment with a promise. That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.
Father, implant this spiritual truth into their humanity as a life-giving instruction for living.
Father, we repent of irritating and provoking our children to anger [for exasperating them to resentment]. Help us to honour their spirit man, help us to rear them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:1-4
We pray this in the name of Yeshua, Amen.
