Day 19
Refresh us as mothers from the fountain of life!
Father, thank You for the gift of parenthood. Thank you that we can come and stand before You in a relationship and know You as Father. Thank you that I can be a mother. Thank you for this huge gift you have blessed me with – ‘motherhood’. Thank you for this very special journey You have unlocked for me in my life.
I know that this journey is full of surprises and unexpected turns – one that I am unable to carry out by myself. Thank you that you are there to guide me with Wisdom and that You council me when I am scared or unsure about the next step. Thank you that You, Father, know the end from the beginning!
Father, today I am asking that You will once again fill me with your Spirit. Tune my spiritual senses. Father, I sometimes become tired and overwhelmed by the challenges we face physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Grant me that I will be able to direct my children in all and everything to You, just as Elisha did when Samuel said he heard someone call his name. Father, may we be so focused on You that You will always be our first answer, our first option, our first stop for help.
Today, we as mothers take up the task of leading our children to You. Prophetically we take them by the hand, walking with them to be refreshed by the waters of the fountains of life. I pray the words of Ps 36 over this journey, myself and my children as we walk. May we discover You all around us today even from the skies, the mountains and the clouds as David so beautifully describes! Make us aware of You and share You with our children.
Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, extend to the skies, and Your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, your judgments are like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve man and beast. How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge and put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They relish and feast on the abundance of Your house; and You cause them to drink of the stream of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light. [John 4:10, 14.] O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, Your righteousness (salvation) to the upright in heart. Let not the foot of pride overtake me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away. There the workers of iniquity fall and lie prostrate; they are thrust down and shall not be able to rise. Psalm 36:5-12 AMPC
I stop at Your fountain and drink deeply. I pray this in the Name of Yeshua
Amen
