Day 17
Today we pray that our children will be frequent travellers knowing and following the paths of the Lord.
Father, life is full of choices some obvious and others not so obvious. Father, the paths we choose take us to specific destinations. Father, we acknowledge that our children will walk in the same paths that we as parents have chosen. Some of these paths are paths of life and others paths of death and destruction. We repent of the dark paths our feet choose generationally. We take full responsibility that we and our children walk these paths automatically. Father, I am speaking of and including the paths of anger, resentment, bitterness, revenge, addiction, rejection and so many others applicable but not specifically mentioned. Please forgive us as we trade these paths for paths of mercy, lovingkindness, truth, faithfulness, righteousness, justice and peace.
Today, Father I pray that You would be our children’s guide directing their feet to find Your paths. Let Your paths be their instinctive choice! We as mothers come collectively in agreement as we pray Ps 25 over our children. We call their spirit man to attention in the Name of Yeshua through the blood of the Lamb. We bless them so that this Word will become a cornerstone of truth on their chosen paths.
“UNTO YOU, O Lord, do we bring the lives of our children. O my God, we trust, lean on, rely on and are confident in You. Let us not be put to shame or [our hope in You] be disappointed; let their enemies not triumph over them.
Show them Your ways, O Lord; teach them Your paths. Guide them in Your truth and faithfulness and teach them, for You are the God of our salvation; for You [You only and altogether] do we wait [expectantly] all the day long. Remember, O Lord, your tender mercy and loving-kindness; for they have been ever from of old. Remember not the sins (the lapses and frailties) of our youth or our transgressions; according to Your mercy and steadfast love remember us, for Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.
You are good and upright, Lord, therefore will You instruct sinners in Your ways. Grant our children a spirit of humility, Father. For You lead the humble in what is right, and the humble You teach Your ways. Lord, your paths are mercy and steadfast love, even truth and faithfulness are they for those who keep Your covenant and testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon our iniquity and guilt, for [they are] great.
Let our children become those who reverently fear and worship You, and teach them in the way that they should choose.
Father, guide them in the secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of You as they discover the fear of the Lord and the reverential worship of You. Father, put Your covenant on display for them and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.
Let their eyes be ever towards you, Lord. We thank You that You are willing and able to pluck their feet out of every net and snare set for them by the enemy. Lord turn to them and be gracious to them, for they know loneliness and affliction.
O keep them, Lord, and deliver them; let them not be ashamed or disappointed, for we trust and take refuge in You. Let integrity and uprightness preserve them, let them wait for and for expect You. Redeem them, O God, out of all their troubles.” Psalm 25:
We pray this in the precious Name of Yeshua who is the Truth, the Way and the Life!
Amen
