The Waiting Room

The Waiting Room

Isaiah 40:31 AMP But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him]
Will gain new strength and renew their power;
They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun];
They will run and not become weary,
They will walk and not grow tired.

The last few days, Holy Spirit has been dropping this word over and over to me, “the waiting room”. I have been pondering on it a bit and I was wondering why the Lord is putting this on my heart so strongly.

In the last month or so, I have been receiving a lot of word about waiting on the Lord; God has been calling us to come to Him, spend time with Him and hear from Him. God has been really tugging at our hearts since lockdown to come deeper with Him so that He can show us what must take place, but many of us have been really waisting time with distractions.

Psalms 130:5-6 “I wait for the LORD,  my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.”

Psalms 27:13-14   I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!

Coming back to the waiting room: What is a waiting room? It is a place where you sit or stand and wait for someone to see you. Eventually, when the waiting is over and you can see the person whom you were waiting for, you will be able to get the information that you need or the answers you have been waiting for. But, you first have to wait!

I feel God has been tugging at our hearts, especially this week before Pentecost (Shavuot), to just come and wait for Him. Don’t come with a list of prayers, just come and wait! Come and love on Him. It is an open Heaven time where God wants to pour His Spirit afresh out over us, where He wants to download things to us from Heaven and touch us. Things that we need for the season lying ahead of us.

Beloveds, let us not waste time and miss our King endowing us with that which we need for the season ahead. Let Him not pass us by without us even knowing it. Let us respond to our Saviour Jesus.

Let us pray: Abba Father, please forgive me for wasting time. Forgive me for not giving heed to your tugging at my heart to come to the waiting room. Father, I choose to come, I don’t want to miss you. My heart is saying, Your face I will seek. Pour out Your Spirit afresh on me. Have Your way and please download that which I need for the season ahead. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Psalm 27:8 AMP When You said, Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You,
“Your face, O Lord, I will seek [on the authority of Your word].”
