A New Year’s Message

A New Year’s Message

Beloveds, this is what I feel God is saying to us for 2021.

Sharpen Your Sword

I feel God is saying that we should sharpen our swords because it is time for us to build a ferocious faith and trust in Him. We can not afford to do life if we do not have God’s word to anchor to. It is time to believe My word and to not be distracted or shaken by the enemy’s roar. For you are at WAR with fear. (Fear is the opposite of Faith). You need my word to direct you. If you are trusting Me for your promise you should anchor to that word I have given you and hold unto it until something happens. Be careful that you don’t approach things like how the world you are in approach things. (You are busy with spiritual things and you cannot do spiritual things with worldly wisdom.) You are in the world but not of it. You have to detach from how this world does things. You live in Heavenly places. Do not be impatient, for your flesh is used to quick fixes. I am teaching you patient endurance in the waiting for your promise – This will bring about enduring faith. Faith pleases me!

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

I am bringing you to places where the waves are high and turbulent, but you will be at PEACE. (This is what I need to teach you). For you to get to this place of peace you need to open your heart to Me so that I can deal with your unbelief. An extraordinary mind shift and attitude change will come about as you start dealing with where you are at with Me concerning your trust in me.

Who Are You?

God is asking – Who are you? What you believe is what you will have. You are called son and daughter. If you believe you are my son or daughter, why don’t you behave like one? A son or daughter has full access to everything the father has. It is all yours! The biggest problem is that you can’t wait patiently and you give up too easily. You need to wait until the fulness of time has come before your promise can be manifested. Ecclesiastes 3:1  To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven… Look at Abraham, Joseph, David and so many more, they had to wait for the fulness of time before they received their promise.

Remember Luke 18:6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Therefore my child, rid yourself of your slave/orphan mentality for I am not a liar, I stay the same and I will do what I say! You can’t receive because you are blocking my blessings with what you truly believe. Will I find faith? Stay true to Me, Your Father!

SELA ( Pause and think on this)

My friends, I think sometimes we behave like spoiled children and we throw fits because things don’t come when we want it. God knows how to build our character and He knows when the time is right for us to receive. We need to surrender all to Him and allow Him to do what He needs to do in us while we are waiting. We are ambassadors of Heaven and we need to behave like it. Therefore, we need to walk through trials and in this God can purify our hearts and build our character so that we can truly walk as His. If God doesn’t teach us to hold unto Him and we just get things in a wink of an eye, will we ever have need of Him?

Therefore, I encourage you, stop questioning God’s intentions by asking why must it take so long, or does God really wants this for me? Surrender to the process and trust God with everything in you – this pleases Him!

I think we all need to really do some introspection and bring these things in prayer before the Lord.

Holy Spirit I ask that you will guide each one to pray affectively into this. Give us the unction to pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Watch Your Heart!

Watch Your Heart!

Dearest beloved, I would like to share something with you that I feel we need to seriously consider.

God has been placing my attention on the anger that is brooding in people’s hearts across the globe. I pick up that many of us have been numbed in the area of giving and caring for others.

Survival Mode

We as humans have this thing that we do when we experience pressure and stress. We tend to go into “survival mode” which pulls us into a space where we only look out for ourselves, close friends and loved ones. Many times when we are in this state we lose our compassion for others. Our irritability and anger levels tend to be much higher than usual. All that matters is to get through the difficult space and we don’t have patience and time for anyone or anything else.

I have been talking to the Lord about this anger and irritability that many people are walking with. The answer – people have hardened their hearts. Many have fallen into the trap of the enemy by becoming decensitized (insensitive) through trying to survive and by getting through the stress and worries of this season.

Be careful

A heardened heart breeds contempt – a heart without consideration for others.

The assignment of the enemy

This is the assignment of the enemy (the devil). He is busy numbing people so that love and care can’t feature in our lives. He is pushing us to become selfish and only think of ourselves. He is stirring up war and disunity amongst people in the world. This is in contradiction with who Christ Jesus is. This is not His way. If Jesus was selfish, we would never have been saved.

Acts 20:35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

This is what I feel the Lord spoke to me. We should keep our hearts from being hardened. How? It is more blessed to give than to receive. It is in the giving of yourself to others that you will receive. We need to nurture the love in our hearts for others by always being ready to give of ourselves.

Give in what way?

I am not talking about giving money. You can give of yourself by sending a message to someone saying you are thinking of them, a scripture verse, a prayer while you are having quiet time, having coffee with them ect. Stay out of that mode of me, myself and I, especially now with all that is going on in the world. Keep you heart tender and soft. We have to stay in God’s love. If you are angry, you have to make work with it and rid yourself from it quickly. The enemy will pull you into a rut of careless- and-insensitiveness. Before you know it you will be stuck in that rut and it will require a whole lot of effort from you to get out of it. The love of God brings healing to people, and so many people are in need of that right now.

Blessed

I don’t know about you, but everytime I give of myself to someone, I always walk away blessed. When Moses took the Israelites through the wilderness they were irritable and angry, it was hot, they were hungry and thirsty. They hardened their hearts because their flesh were struggling. What happened? They hardened their hearts by being angry at God and Moses and they started to moan and groan. A hardened heart is rebellion, it is the abscence of love. Where rebellion is, anger is also. Let us keep ourselves in check. Let us not come in agreement with our enemy’s way of doing things. Stay with the Father!

Hebrews 3:15 Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”

What to do?

Ultamately, if you are angry and irritable, go love on someone. Go and love your anger and irritability dead.

Let’s summarize

Let us truly be mindful of this. Let us not fall in the trap of the enemy by hardening our hearts and playing out that which the enemy is trying to orchastrate in the world. A hardened heart is rebellion, and it is the absense of Love. ( By the way, you will not be able to hear God’s (who is love) voice clearly because you have closed yourself off by sinning – rebellion).

Let us come out and stay out from under the cloud of decensitization (insensitiveness) and let us stay under God’s cloud of Love.

1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Let us pray

Abba Father, I want to repent of my wayward ways today. I want to ask forgiveness for giving in and stepping into the trap of the enemy. I ask that you will forgive me for being numb and insensitive to other peoples needs. Please forgive me for the rebellion in my heart. Forgive me for hardening my heart and for only thinking of myself and my family. Father, I do not know how to love and that is why my heart is hardened, I do not know You. Please forgive me. Father, You are love and therefore I give You permission to show me and teach me what true love is. Please touch my heart and bring me out of this rut. Please wash me in Your blood and wash away that which is not of You. Father, please give me a heart of flesh once again. Let Your love collide with my heart now, in Jesus name I pray. Amen and Amen

Choose Life!

Choose Life!

Many people find themselves at a point in their lives where positivity doesn’t really feature at all. They might say there is too much pain and suffering going around, and that there is nothing to be happy about.

Here’s the thing, you can either stay in that state of mind, or you can rise above your difficulties by choosing “life” (Christ Jesus) instead of heaviness.

I would love to share with you how I have walked through my difficult times by choosing “life” over heaviness. In those times, I had to constantly be mindful of what I wanted to achieve in the spirit. My goal was to find peace and joy, no matter what I was facing.

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

Philippians 4:11

This was my goal, to find contentment in every season of my life.

God used my years of teaching primary school; He taught me and my students how important it was to have a positive attitude in any circumstance. One year, God allowed me to work with 5 students in my class who had many learning problems. It was not an easy task, although they had the same type of learning issues, they had different personalities, so what worked for the one did not work for the others.

I had to drink deep from the Lord and I had to rely on Holy Spirit for intervention and clever ideas to meet each one at their level of understanding.

Gratitude: From Heaviness To Joy And Peace

Most of the time, the atmosphere in the class was heavy. These little ones would come to school in the mornings with strained faces and you could see how difficult it was for them to be at school and try to get through the work set out for them. Every child had a goal to reach daily. For these 5 little ones, seeing the goals that they had to reach was just too much, and it overwhelmed them.

I didn’t know how to lift their spirits so that they could start the day with peace and joy. It was then that the Lord told me to start ministering to their state of mind, to get their focus away from that which weighed them down.

Every morning I would allow each child to name one or two things they were grateful for. It was such a great opportunity for them to speak about things they loved, and they would tell us stories about these things that brought them joy. The funniest things came out! They would talk about their pets or siblings and the funny things they’d do. Quickly, the atmosphere would change and morale improved. After devotions, everybody went back to their seats and peace and joy filled the atmosphere. I noticed a huge improvement in their schoolwork. Everything in class went much smoother than before we started this excercise. Looking for things to be grateful for, and telling each other about them each day became a habit for our class.

Isn’t this what God wants us to do? To look for and find those things that bring us joy? Looking for things that bring life and taking our eyes off the things that are overwhelming.

Approaching Frustrations And Irritations

At about the same time, a friend and I also decided to change how we respond when irritating situations came our way. We decided to immediately take our focus off the situation and to start thanking God for his mercy and grace. To ask Him to use the situation for His glory. We decided to do this to get to that place of peace even when there were things making our lives difficult. It required quite a bit of focus and effort because we had to change our “default setting” – responding negatively.

How do you change a bad habit? You need to reprogram yourself with a new response. This is usually the opposite to your normal response or way of doing things. Depending on the change it may require some hard work, pushing against your normal way of doing things. But soon enough it will become second nature and the change will have replaced the old bad habit with a good one.

Not long after this decision, the tests came. Isn’t that how it always goes? The moment you want to change something within yourself, you get bombarded – without warning – with those things that trigger you. As if someone is trying to make you fail.

The Test

One day, I was in a huge hurry to get home but I had to stop at the gas station first. I took the keys out of the ignition and I hurried into the convenience store. I had to get some bread that I had forgotten to get at the grocery store. As I rushed back to the car I reached into my handbag only to realize I had locked the keys in the car. I had taken it out of the ignition, put it on the seat and locked the door as I got out (back in the days when this was actually possible). Just as I wanted to get mad at myself, I remembered…

I started praying and said, “Okay God, I am here now. You knew it was going to happen. I choose to believe that you are either protecting me from something or someone needs a touch from You. I ask that You send the right people to help me. And I surrender to whatever You want to do. Have Your way.” Immediately, peace fell on me and I was ready for an adventure!

Soon enough, a few guys asked if I needed help. It wasn’t long before we were laughing at jokes while trying to figure out how to get the car open. It was fun! Maybe we all needed some laughter, who knows? All I know is that God uses any opportunity to bless us, we just need to open our hearts and surrender to Him. It’s amazing how the way you approach something negative can turn it into a blessing.

Beloveds, as children of God we need to find that sweet spot. Being grateful for what we have even in tough spaces. Changing negative situations into blessing by approaching them differently, and moving in the opposite spirit to the negative and irritating things in front of us. We have the power to either agree or not agree with things. Remeber, whatever you agree with, you will have.

Let’s Ponder On This

How do we respond to negative things? Do we get miserable and irritable and go with that flow? Aren’t those the characteristics and fruit of our enemy, the devil? Do we come into agreement with the devil’s way of doing things? If we invite Jesus into the situation then He can turn it into a blessing. We agree with heaven’s way of doing things. We can change situations in our lives by how we approach them and by carrying the fruit of the Spirit, especially self-control.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

Let Us Pray

Abba Father, I have been quite miserable lately and I have been keeping my eyes on all the difficulties I am facing right now. I am responding negatively to every negative thing. Father, I don’t have the strength to choose joy and life. But You say when I am weak, You are strong. Therefore, I am hooking into Your strength right now. I repent for looking at the bad and for only having it in mind. I have not even seen the blessings You have given me, and I have not thanked you for that which I have that blessess my heart. Please forgive me for being stuck here. Please forgive me for affecting others negatively with the cloud of heaviness I carry with me. Please wash me in Your blood and please touch me, in Jesus name. I know I can’t see the blessings you give daily so lovingly because negativity is in my face, but I choose to look for them. Thank You that You will help me to find them because my eyes are open to look for them. Holy Spirit, please remind me daily to look for that sweet spot of finding contentment in whatsoever state I am in. Help me to be mindful of finding peace, daily, even in my darkest hours. I pray this in Jesus mighty name. Amen and amen.
