Hope Deferred

Hope Deferred

I want to encourage you by telling you that God is not taken by surprise by what you are facing right now. He knew it was coming and He has all the resources available to you to keep going, to not loose heart and to overcome. He says in Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Let’s pray,

Father, I come before you today by the blood of Jesus, I am broken and tired. Father, I am at the end of myself and I am overwhelmed by my circumstances. I need your intervention! I know that I have been trying to deal with this all by myself and that is why I am tired. I have not given it over to you and I have not asked You for help, I repent. Please forgive me for not seeking Your counsel in Jesus name.

Father, according to Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life, My hope is gone and my heart is sick. I bring my hopelessness before You, Jesus You alone can restore my hope and touch my heart. I choose to let go, I choose to release all my worries to You. I surrender Lord. I need you to take charge over this situation.

I hook all of my senses into who You are and I proclaim the following over my situation in Jesus name:

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 23:1-6 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Psalm 54:4 Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Psalm 34:10 The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Psalm 37:40 The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.

Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Psalm119:114 You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him

Psalm 107:9 For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.

Jeremiah 32:17 Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You,

Matthew 19:26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Luke 1:37 For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Father God, this is Your Character, this is who You are. You are the Most High God and nothing can stop You, nothing compares to You. I thank You that You will never leave or forsake me and that You are with me.

Thank You Father that I can take hold of this scripture, Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I make this scripture mine today and I choose to stand on this, in Jesus name.

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Holy Spirit, I ask that You will remind me daily of this, that Jesus has overcome and because He lives within me I will overcome by the blood of the Lamb. Please forgive me for forgetting that You will give me the strength to overcome and that You will take me through this storm in Jesus name.

Thank You Abba Father that I can stand on Your word. You are not a lier. You are true to Your word. I choose to keep my eyes on who You are and not on the noise that my circumstances are making. Thank You for making my ways perfect and my paths straight. I pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, who died for me and who has redeemed me.

Amen and Amen.
