Realign and Readjust

Realign and Readjust

Jeremiah 29:11 Amp, For I know the thoughts {and} plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts {and} plans for welfare {and} peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

Beloved, in this time of lockdown many of us feel like we have been thrown ino a tumbeldryer. We have never experieced things like we are experiencing now. It is an unknown, unsure and even a confusing space.

I would like to encourage you today, I want to cheer you on and ask you to really dig deep and do some introspection. Introspection by asking yourself if that which you have been doing or where you were at before lockdown is truly God’s plan for you or not? The Lord has been showing me that He is using this time to tugg on many hearts to fall back on that which He has spoken to us, the promises He has given us and the original blueprint of heaven for where we should be in our lives. Did we deviate from the path, or did we stay the course, especially when the pressure came? Many of us have been bent by the pressures of life and we’ve tried to keep things together by ourselves. We have made our own decisions without taking it to God and we have stepped into positions where we don’t belong. Abba is using this time to call us back and He is giving us all a chance to recalibrate and readjust ourselves. He is such a loving father and this is a window of opportunity for us to use and to get ourselves back on track.

Let us use this time wisely. When this season is over and we step into the next, time is up. Beloved, make sure you grab hold of God’s heart for your life, what you are imparted with in this time is going to have major impact on your future.

Isaiah 30:21, Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

Let’s pray– Abba father I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son. I am confused, I do not know where to go and what to do, but You know. I repent from deviating from Your original instruction to me. I repent that I have fallen under the pressures of life, that I trusted and leaned on my own understanding. I repent that I have done my own thing and I did not include you in my decisions. I ask forgiveness, please cleanse me with Your blood. Father, now I give you permission to readjust and realign me. My life is Yours and I know that when I walk in that which you have purposed for me I will experience life in abundance! Please remove the confusion from my mind and help me to find clarity on where it is that you are leading me. I open my ears to hear what You are saying so that I can walk in the way You have purposed for me. Jesus, please take charge over my life again. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.

Feeding Vulnerabilities

Feeding Vulnerabilities

Lets talk …

So, here’s the thing – We so often, maybe constantly even, struggle with fear; fear of the future; fear of loss; fear for my life; fear of failing; fear of loneliness and it goes on and on. It’s an endless torment, an endless fighting off the thoughts in our minds. An endless crying out for peace.

My question is, so why do we feed our fears? Why do we go into social media or get involved in conversations that engrain this fear more and more into our souls? Being fed with absolutely that which we are trying to avoid and trying to get free from.

Lets use an example; someone has a fear of being attacked, so now this person will watch movies, listen to news, go on social media and follow stories of people being attacked. She is feeding herself with evil. Isn’t this person busy tormenting herself and coming in agreement with the enemy ? What is she entertaining? What is she filling herself with? What you fill yourself with will consume you and it will control you. What you hook your eyes into, you worship.

It is written in Philippians 4:8-9 ,”Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.

Is this this person entertaining things that are “right and confirmed by God’s word”? We should think continually on that which is right (entertaining it in our minds). Then it says, “practice these things in daily life” (what do we practice daily?) and God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you. Isn’t it when we rid ourselves from feeding off of that which is poisonous to us and rather feed on that which is rightTHEN we will experience peace and well-being that we so much desire?

For some of us it’s going to need a bit of effort to get ourselves out of the programming of feeding our vulnaribilities. We will need to become mindful of that which is our enemy and seek God’s face to rid us from that bondage. The most important thing is that we should reprogramme ourselves and change our behaviour of wanting to go on social media or entertaining things that will add to that fear.

May God show us what our enemy is and may we overcome by the blood of the lamb, in Jesus name.

We need to pray– Abba father, oh how we need you. We are so stuck in our ways. We do things where we don’t even realise it is harming us and we allow it. We are being tormented and we are broken. Forgive us for running to and fro trying to find peace and well-being, but we are looking in the wrong places. Forgive us for not running to your word, for not clinging to you, for not relying on you, the one and only God; who is the source of peace and well-being. Deliver us from this and bring us back to your paths of righteousness in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

I Will Let Love

I Will Let Love

Have you ever had a moment where you just knew, without a doubt, that that was God’s doing? Have you ever thought of it being God just loving on you?

The last few days the Lord has been dropping some hints to me about STOPPING and PAUSING and really taking things in (rustig, rustig). We have become so engrossed in doing life that we never take time to just stop and be mindful of what God is busy doing around us. We have too many things to do, too little time.

So, the Lord has been speaking to me about His love for us. The word says in 1 John 4:8, “The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.]” This is where I want us to camp for a bit, looking at God, who created love, God that so badly wants to love on us and we don’t allow Him. He is the ultimate expression of love, but we miss the moments He tries to display it. When He is trying to love on us, we can’t see because our worries, questions and busy routines makes so much noise that it drowns out that which will bring life and hope that we need.

A few days ago during my quiet time, the Lord showed me the most beautiful picture. It was quiet, peaceful and full of color, everything I love. Immediately I went into this mode of doing (we are so good at doing but not receiving) – “Father, do I need to give a message to someone? What are you saying?” He didn’t reply, but a few days after, my friend sent me a song that God wanted her to give to me and it was a love song from Jesus to me. That same day our daughter painted me a picture and when she gave it to me my heart was overcome by joy. That is when the penny dropped and Jesus spoke to my heart – “You know, I just want to love on you and send surprises to you.”

We so easily forget that we are married / in covenant with Him; which means we show our love to one another. We surprise each other with things that makes our hearts happy. So, what I feel God is saying to us is – will you stop and pause and allow Me to love on you? There are certain things that make us happy, that touch our hearts and it is those very things that God uses to drop on us as a surprise to tell us how much He loves us and to let us know that it was Him doing it. To tell us He is mindful of us, even in our darkest hours. He uses people and things to bring His surprises to us. Things like; The sunset that you see; the smile that your baby gave you; a butterfly; someone making you food; a friend sending you a message, someone giving you money and the list goes on – It is Him loving you!

I love purple figs, but they are rare to find. Listen, when I see one it’s like the biggest present I have ever received. You would ask why a fig? I don’t know, but it is the most beautiful fruit to me and it brings me joy to look at and to eat. I always say that God was thinking of me when He made it. Maybe He knitted me together in a field of fig trees. Who knows?

My prayer for all of us, especially in this difficult time of heartache and loss: is that we would daily become mindful of the Lord Jesus Christ wanting to love on us and telling us He is there. That we will allow Him to love us and receive his surprises.

Beloved, go today and everyday after, open up your heart to be loved by the One who knows exactly how to Love you in every moment. Stop and look, especially in your darkest hour, He is all around us, dropping love letters.

Prayer time – Jesus lover of my soul! I ask forgiveness for not being aware of Your love for me. For not stopping and taking in your love that you daily pour out on me. Holy Spirit please help me to become mindful of God wanting to love me. I choose to open my heart to you so that I can grab hold of Your endless love for me. I will let love surprise me. You are welcome to come and show me what true love is. In Jesus name. Amen.

This is a song about love finding us
